EMC Celerra : How to collect Support Material using CLI

” [ -h ]                 -h: Help – this help screen
” [ -q ]                 -q: Quiet – this script will produce no output to the console
” [ -filename filename ] -filename – Include additional info in the name
” [ -d ]                 -d: Directory – specifies the directory that files will be saved to
” [ -version ]           -version – print version number and exit
” [ -v ]                 -v: Verbose – provides detailed output while running

Connect your Celerra using Putty and execute the following command

/nas/tools/collect_support_materials

The output is as below:-

   Collecting RDF information
   Collecting DHSM information
   Collecting output from other CS commands
   Collecting other files from /nas, /nas/site, /nas/sys,/nas/rdf, and /nas/dos
Material Collection File:
  /nas/var/log/support_materials_APM00070802955.091216_0908.zip has been generated.

Logs collection has successfully completed and logs are placed in following location with time stamp zip file. 

/nas/var/log/support_materials_APM00070802955.091216_0908.zip

Use Winscp software to transfer the logs from Unix machine to Windows machine.
